A Master’s degree requires 40 Selinus University credits; that means 80 ECTS over the Bachelor. Selinus University study approach is innovative and flexible since it focuses on adult students’ previous work experience. Credits validation is based on the analysis of the candidates’ Curriculum Vitae: life and professional skills, academic achievements, professional experiences, cultural backgrounds and so on. Credits validation for high-profile candidates’ CV may allow a straight access to the final thesis.
Selinus distance learning study programs are exclusively provided online. Every specific course degree differs from traditional exams based programs; it rather consists in Reports writing implementation (Units examination) and text book reading. Each degree Certificate is notarized by Apostille Government and it will be ensured validity in all Hague countries. In those countries that are off The Hague Convention, either the consulate or the competent court is in charge of degree certificates legalization.
Our distance degree programs are three: Master of Arts (MA), Master of Sciences (MSc) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Selinus University of Sciences and Literature Ltd is a Private International Commercial University incorporated in the Commonwealth of Dominica. It is a non-governmental organization for international adult students, professionals and entrepreneurs. Selinus works online through an internet e-learning platform; its distance learning system uses e-mail, international couriers, video telephone systems, etc.
Selinus University of Sciences and Literature operates with full legal authority and accepts students from all over the world. Prior to each enrolment, Selinus informs candidates on its study systems as well as on the value of its academic qualifications. Our University holds a Certificate of Incorporation and a Certificate of Good Standing from the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. It is also registered in Italy at the Chamber of Commerce of the city of Bologna therefore under Italian tax authority. The Commonwealth of Dominica is a member of the British Commonwealth, it participates in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie and it is a UNESCO member.
Selinus University answers to the Commonwealth on academic qualifications and business university conduct. It is legally authorized to carry out all the activities of a private international post-secondary educational institution with reference to point 4 of its own statute. Selinus can award degrees up to doctoral level. It is an International University with no governmental accreditation. It is privately accredited by WCRDE (World Council Regular Distance Education, Asia). The PhD Program by Research is accredited by the WCI (World Certification Institute), Washington DC. Selinus University is also recognized by the CUFCE (California University Foreign Credit Evaluation), whose purpose relies on degree evaluation and consequent conversion to equivalent US degrees.
Selinus University programs by Distance Learning are tailored on the student’s needs and cover dozens of disciplines including: management, economy, communications, humanities, arts, psychology, holistic sciences, computer, interior design and so on. A general assessment of the student’s curriculum always precedes the candidate student enrolment; that determines the amount of transferable credits from previous learning and work experience.
Selinus has adopted the current European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) guidelines and the US GAAP Generally Accepted Accrediting Practices. The Bachelor program is accessed by at least 25 years old candidates. The established value of Selinus University credits (SUSL Credits) is the following: 1 SUSL credit equals 2 ECTS.
Note that certain government agencies employers or some professional licensing bodies may require degrees which are directly regulated by a national Ministry of Education. A Selinus degree is valid for many purposes but not for all. We recommend foreign students to check a Selinus University Master usability to their goals. The study programs costs are determined by SUSL Credits. For a Master, each credit is equal to 150 USD/Euros; however, CV credits validation may gain a cost/credits reduction up to 70%. Therefore, the candidate’s CV evaluation is fundamental for the program; three pedagogical methods are used for a Master program: 1) Relying entirely on texts and research. 2) Mixed: texts, researches and credits from prior learning. 3) APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning): based on professional activities and personal skills listed in the candidate’s CV.
The entire program cost is determined by credits amount obtained by the candidate according to his/her CV and his/her prior learning. It is necessary to send a thoroughly detailed CV in order to know the study program cost. The Secretariat will process the candidate’s CV, giving account of the credits number earned by the student. This result will be communicated through a document called “Provisional Certificate”: it displays the program final cost.
A Master specifically requires 40 Selinus University Credits, in addition to the Bachelor degree. That means a total 160 Credits (Bachelor + Master), equivalent to 320 ECTS. Obviously, the more credits the student earns through CV validation, the more the program cost will lower.

Degree course admission requirements at Selinus University differ according to the faculty and the major of study that a student is willing to enrol for. There is no discrimination of race, colour, sex, beliefs and/or religion.
At least 50% of the total number of credits required by any adult study program must be transferred from the previous education experience and/or validated by professional experience. A maximum of 70% of the total number of credits required by the distance degree program can be transferred from professional and life experience.
Besides the Master's program, 35 to 40 academic credits are demanded. Duration ranges from 6 to 18 months. Program Structure: A) 100% based on textbooks (ordinary). B) 50% based on textbooks 50% credit earned by prior learning. C) 70% by APEL (accreditation Prior Experiential Learning) 30% final dissertation.
